The Adrenals and Anxiety
When under stress, your body undergoes a “stress” response. That stress response is has a global and vast impact on your body. The adrenal glands are primarily behind the scenes, orchestrating the entire response. One of the ways the adrenals co-ordinates the stress response is by releasing hormones as well as adrenaline, the excitatory neurotransmitter. Repeatedly, the stress response works less effectively. One of the main fallout of the less effective stress response is anxiety. All of the ways in which the stress response, anxiety, and the adrenals will be discussed
